The physicians in the practice make up a large part of the retina
faculty at Wills Eye Institute, leading the
research efforts and development of all major innovations in retina
care. The physicians have been intimately involved in the development
of most of the treatments for many retinal diseases, including the
newest treatments for Diabetic Retinopathy and Macular Degeneration.
For more than 25 years, members of the practice have held key leadership
positions at Wills Eye Institute including Ophthalmologist
in Chief and Director of Retina Service. They have trained countless
residents and retina surgeons who are now themselves leaders in
ophthalmology around the country.
