71st Annual Wills Eye Conference

Wills Eye Hospital is holding their 71st Annual Wills Eye Conference this weekend, March 7-9, 2019.  Mid Atlantic Retina, the retina physicians of Wills Eye, will be attending and presenting on several topics.

Dr. Sunir Garg, while serving as the Wills Eye Conference Chairman, is presenting research on the Comfort and Efficacy of Povidone Iodine 5% compared to Aqueous Chlorhexidine 0.1% for Intravitreal Injection.

On the first day, Dr. Jason Hsu is presenting research on Endophthalmitis Rates Following Corneal Transplantation. And Dr. Allen Ho is presenting three different topics including: Etiology, Treatment and Visual Outcomes of Patients with Choroidal Neovascularization under the Age of 50, Factors Predicting Distribution and Practice Patterns of Retina Providers across the United States, Endophthalmitis Following Cataract Surgery: Visual Outcomes and Culture Results. Dr. Allen Chiang and Dr. Sunir Garg will present research on Patients Ultra-Responsive to Ranibizumab Based on Diabetic Retinopathy Severity in DRCR.net Protocol S.

Dr. James Vander will discuss research on The Utility of Cultures in Management of Endophthalmitis Following Intravitreal Injection of Anti-VEGF Agents. Dr. Carl Regillo will discuss AMD with research on Submacular Hemorrhage Secondary to Age-Related Macular Degeneration in a Treat and Extend Regimen. Dr. Marc Spirn presents on Macular Edemas with Aflibercept to Ranibizumab Switch for Macular Edema Secondary to Retinal Vein Occlusion.
