American Academy of Ophthalmology Meeting 2015

The annual meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology was held November 14-17 in Las Vegas, NV. Dr. Jason Hsu, along with Drs. Sunir Garg and Omesh Gupta, presented a course on intraocular lens implantation techniques for vitreoretinal surgeons, which demonstrated new techniques for inserting lenses in eyes that have had complications and cannot have a standard lens placed in the eye. Dr. Sunir Garg, along with Drs. Allen Ho and Jason Hsu, held a course on advanced vitreoretinal surgical techniques, teaching retina specialists from around the world about dealing with difficult retina cases. Dr. Sunir Garg also presented "Clarifying the role of novel and emerging therapies for diabetic retinopathy and related eye disorders." Dr. Carl Regillo gave a lecture on the two year results of a prospective, multicenter investigation of aflibercept treat and extend therapy for neovascular age-related macular degeneration (ATLAS Study).  Dr Richard Kaiser presented "Complications of Complex Retinal Detachment Repair".
