American Academy of Ophthalmology Meeting 2016
The annual meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology was held October 15-18 in Chicago, IL. Dr. Sunir Garg was the senior course instructor on the topic of "Advanced Vitreoretinal Surgical Techniques". Dr. Jason Hsu, Dr Allen Ho and Dr Carl Regillo also served as course instructions, teaching retina specialists and ophthalmologists from around the world about the latest vitreoretinal surgical techniques.
Dr Allen Ho presented "Argus II Retinal prosthesis System Update: Clinical Trial Data and Worldwide Commercialization" & "Integrating MicroPulse Laser Therapy into the Management of Retinal Disorders".
Dr Carl Regillo was an invited speaker for The South Meets the North : What's new in Surgical Retina, PACORES Symposium and presented "New concepts in the surgical management of vitreoretinal interface disease". Dr Regillo also was an invited speaker at the Retina Society Symposium and presented " The role of optimizing AMD management" as well as an invited speaker for Wills Eye Meet the Experts "Emerging neovascular AMD treatments"
For the Retina Subspecialty Day held October 15th Dr Hsu served on a panel discussing management of dislocated intraocular lenses. Dr Garg was a part of the faculty presenting "Break with the Experts: Retinal Detachments", as well as a panelist for 'my coolest surgical videos'. Dr Omesh Gupta presented " Bore-Tex Sutured IOL's" and Dr Carl Regillo was an invited speaker for "Optimizing wet AMD treatment outcomes"
