Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) 2016

Several of Mid Atlantic Retina's physicians were involved  in the 2016 ARVO conference, the largest international eye research conference, in May 2016.

Dr. Hsu presented the study "Comparison of post-injection endophthalmitis rates and characteristics following intravitreal injections of bevacizumab versus ranibizumab versus aflibercept.” Dr. Garg was a co-author on this study.

Drs. Garg, Hsu, Spirn, Chiang, and Gupta were co-authors on the study "A Comparison of GoPro and Google Glass to Record Extraocular Ophthalmologic Surgeries.”

Dr. Hsu was co-author on the studies "Early spectral domain optical coherence tomography findings after spontaneous vitreomacular traction release, "Pre- and Post-Vitrectomy Choroidal Thickness in Eyes with Epiretinal Membrane and Macular Hole,” and "En-face versus 12-line radial spectral domain optical coherence tomography scan patterns for detection of neovascular age-related macular degeneration pathology."

Drs. Hsu, Garg, Spirn, Fineman, and Vander were co-authors on the study "Topical dorzolamide-timolol with intravitreal anti-vascular endothelial growth factor for neovascular age-related macular degeneration." This was chosen as a “Hot Topic” which means it was identified by members of the Annual Meeting Program Committee as representing the newest and most innovative research being conducted in the various specialties.
