Multilayer Hinged ILM Flap for Recurrent Macular Hole
Dr. Richard Kaiser and Dr. Ferhina Ali used a multilayered, inferotemporal hinged internal limiting membrane (ILM) flap to treat a patient with a recurrent macular hole. The patient had previously undergone a vitrectomy that had failed to fix the lesion. In the video, they explain how they extended the membrane and folded it into layers to secure it over the hole, and over time the patient's vision improved from 20/200 to 20/60.
