Retina World Congress 2019

The Retina World Congress meeting was held this weekend, March 21-24, 2019 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and two Mid Atlantic Retina physicians presented at the prestigious biannual meeting.

Dr. Sunir Garg presented on the "Efficacy and Safety of Brimonidine DDS for Geographic Atrophy Secondary to Agerelated Macular Degeneration: BEACON Phase 2b Clinical Results”. He also served as a moderator for the Age-related Macular Degeneration panel.

Dr. Carl Regillo presented on a the topic of "Anti-VEGF/Anti-Angiopoietin-2 Bispecific Antibody RG7716 in Exudative AMD” and served as a panelists on Age-related Macular Degeneration panel discussion. Dr. Regillo also discussed the results from the STAIRWAY and AVENUE phase 2 studies of faricimab combined with ranibizumab, which showed a potentially longer durability than anti-VEGF alone.
