Retina Scan May Give Early Warning of Alzheimer’s Disease

The American Academy of Ophthalmology recently published an article that discusses how a new study shows that an eye scan may be a relatively easy, inexpensive way to test for early Alzheimer’s disease. Dr. Sunir Garg weighs in on using OCTA to detect changes in the retina, which have similarities to changes in Alzheimer’s disease. The retina is a direct extension from the brain.
